Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
- Prescribe medications, treatments and therapies.
- Order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
- Provide patient education and counseling on preventive health care, lifestyle modifications and treatment options.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals involved in the care of the patient.
- Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, established guidelines and protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and document all care provided to patients in accordance with legal, ethical and professional standards of practice.
